Unlike many of our pieces which involve fauna motifs, the Floral Fish Brooches spawn from an artistic technique which utilizes the trademark Peranakan leaf and flower patterns and filigree to create the overall shape and image of a fish, rather than to have the fish motif be carved out of gold by itself while it rests upon the bed of flora beneath it.
